A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year integrated program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science – Biotechnology must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (XII) in Science conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent in Science stream.
The admissions are purely based on merit in MinCET score.
A candidate who has not taken Mathematics and Statistics as one of the courses at HSC (Std XII) will have to satisfactorily complete a bridge course in Mathematics and Statistics (of 15 hours duration) during the academic year of first year B.Sc. in which he / she is admitted.
On completion of the B. Sc Biotechnology, the learners should be enriched with knowledge and be able to-

PSO2: Learn and understand the various aspects of fermentation technology and Industrial biotechnology.
PSO3: Understand the scope and application of Genetics.
PSO4: Learn and gain an insight knowledge of mechanism of gene expression and its regulation.
PSO5: Learn and master techniques required to handle and work in a biotechnology Laboratory various branches.
PSO6: Learn and understand the different aspects of classical physics and chemistry.
PSO7: Develop a Well-rounded and confident personality with ability for smooth transition to industrial or research sector.
